This study investigates the Utilization of Electronic databases by Users of University libraries in North-East Zone, Nigeria. The study was guided by three objectives, three research questions, the availability of electronic databases, utilization of e-databases by users, challenges of effective Utilization of e-databases by users. The population of the study comprised of all university libraries in the Northeast Zone. Stratified Randam sampling was used to select Ramat library, University of Maiduguri, and Abu-Bakr Rashid Library Wukari Taraba state. The respondent groups were library users. The research design used was survey method. Stratified Proportionate sampling technique was used in selecting the respondents, Questionnaire was used as research instrument which was pretested with a reliability value of r=0.88. Descriptive Statistics was used in the data analysis, and frequency counts and percentage scores presented in tables and histogram. Findings revealed that there was HINARI, Open Access Journals, Open Educational Resources (OERs), ProQuest, ARDI were the electronic database available. The study also found that the level of utilisation of the e databases was very low. Lack of awareness or knowledge of the existence of the e-database was the one of the major challenges affecting the effective utilization of the e-databases in the university libraries under study. The study concludes and recommends that the university libraries in the zone should be more proactive and develop awareness campaign across the universities showcasing the availability and existence of the databases in the university libraries.
